Thales Netherlands "Goalkeeper" Close-In Weapon System

Thales Netherlands Goalkeeper Close-in Weapon System 3D model, designed with SW, recommended to open with Solidworks version 2014 or above! The full Goalkeeper system (including the turret with 1,190 rounds of ammunition tailored for the Royal Netherlands Navy's Karel Doorman-class frigate) weighs 6.372 tons. The complete system includes the GAU-8/A 30mm seven-barrel rotary cannon provided by GE in the USA (also used by the US A-10 attack aircraft) and the EX-83 gun mount, an X/ku dual-band tracking fire control radar located above the right side of the turret, an X-band linear matrix search radar located above the left side of the turret, a television camera, an independent radio transmitter/receiver, an electronic control cabin, system interface, and control display console in the combat information center, and interfaces with the ship's combat/fire control systems.
