This mechanism is a non-powered mechanism, widely used in locations where a walkway needs to cross a conveyor belt. When a person needs to cross the conveyor belt, the flipping mechanism can be manually operated, allowing the person to pass through. After reaching the other side, the person needs to flip it back, after which the conveyor belt can continue to operate.
