A device model scheme for use in a barrel production line, for robotic destacking and capping. The scheme includes robotic destacking of barrel lids, detection of barrel lid orientation, barrel lid flipping and conveying, and online operations. This scheme can also be used for end-of-line palletizing of barrel lids.
