Pipelines are devices used to transport gases, liquids, or fluids containing solid particles, consisting of pipes, pipe connectors, and valves. Typically, fluids are pressurized by blowers, compressors, pumps, and boilers, flowing from the high-pressure end to the low-pressure end of the pipeline. They can also be transported using the fluid's own pressure or gravity. The uses of pipelines are very extensive.
