In simple terms, it is a front suspension system named after an automotive designer. Invented and created by MacPherson, it continues to this day and is used in many vehicle models. The application of MacPherson in front suspension is unparalleled by other suspensions. It is used in high-performance cars like the BMW M3 and Porsche 911, as well as smaller cars like the Fiat STILO and Ford FOCUS, and even in domestically produced vehicles such as the Hafei minivan front suspension.
