A centrifuge is a machine that uses centrifugal force to separate the components of a mixture of liquids and solid particles or liquids and liquids. The magnitude of the centrifugal force is determined by the rotational speed, the radius of rotation, and the mass of the substance. Centrifuges are widely used in chemical engineering, petroleum, food processing, pharmaceuticals, mineral processing, carbon, water treatment, nuclear industry, and shipping sectors.
