This necessitates a thick cylinder block to withstand pressure and a large capacity to intake air, making diesel engines heavy and challenging to use in small or mobile tools. Consequently, they are mainly employed in large or stationary tools, such as pumps, large buses, heavy trucks, airplanes, ships, and other large equipment.
