Gantry-style robotic workstation. It is often used for lifting very heavy goods. As the name suggests, its structure resembles a gantry, with tracks laid out on the ground. The older models have motors at both ends to move the crane back and forth along the tracks. Nowadays, for more precise installation, many gantry systems use variable frequency motors and servo drives.
