Daimler Engine DD13 (SW Design Model)
Premium
Daimler Corporation introduced the second model of the world engine, the DD13, with an investment exceeding 1 billion dollars. The displacement range covers 10.6 to 15.6 liters, with two larger displacements being 14.8 liters and 15.6 liters. The 14.6-liter displacement is considered a typical American size, while the 15.6-liter shows clear European characteristics. Gottlieb Daimler was born on March 17, 1834, in Schorndorf, on the banks of the Rems River in Württemberg, Germany, into a family of artisanal workers. His father was a bakery owner. In 1852, Daimler attended the Stuttgart Polytechnic. In his youth, Daimler developed a strong interest in gas engines and began studying and developing Otto-type gas engines. In 1872, Daimler designed a four-stroke engine. In 1883, he collaborated with his friend, the renowned inventor Wilhelm Maybach, to successfully develop a gasoline engine. In 1885, they mounted this engine on a wooden two-wheeled vehicle, thereby inventing the motorcycle. In 1886, Daimler installed this engine on a carriage he bought for his wife's 43rd birthday, creating the first Daimler automobile.
