Briggs & Stratton engine is a single-cylinder, four-stroke, spark-ignited, air-cooled, side-valve engine with a capacity of 127 cc. It provides a maximum power of 2.2 kW (3 horsepower) at 600 RPM.
The engine is equipped with an improved carburetor, allowing adjustments to be made to the mixture strength. The cylinder head has been drilled and fitted with a tap to accommodate a pressure sensor.
