The commonly used bevel gear differential in automotive drive systems is a key component of the drive axle. It consists of a drive shaft, driving gear, driven gear, planetary gear, planetary carrier (differential case), planetary gear shaft, left and right half-shafts, and half-shaft gears. There is an assembly model available in SolidWorks 2013 and a standard STP format document, with the assembly containing 21 independent components.
