The structure of a 19" standard cabinet is relatively simple, mainly including the basic frame, internal support system, wiring system, and ventilation system. The exterior of a 19-inch standard cabinet has three conventional dimensions: width, height, and depth. Although the installation width for 19-inch panel equipment is 465.1mm, the physical width of the cabinet usually ranges from 450-1200mm. The height typically ranges from 0.7M to 2.4M, depending on the amount of equipment inside the cabinet and the unified style. Manufacturers can usually customize special heights, with common finished 19-inch standard cabinet heights being 1.6M, 1.8M, and 2M. The depth of the cabinet generally ranges from 450mm-1000mm, determined by the size of the equipment inside, and manufacturers can also customize products with special depths. Common finished 19-inch standard cabinet depths are 450mm, 600mm, 700mm, 800mm, 900mm, and 1000mm. Cabinets are also divided by U sizes and depths. Generally, cabinets have a height of 42U (cabinet height 2000mm). The 1U and 19 inches here are industrial standards established by the EIA. Therefore, there is no 1U cabinet, only 1U equipment. Cabinets can range from 4U to 47U, meaning that theoretically, a cabinet with a height of 42U can install 42 pieces of 1U high equipment, but in practice, placing 10-20 pieces is typical because they need spacing for heat dissipation.
