This project is an automatic milling workstation. The workstation adopts a specialized quick-change fixture method (a total of 10 sets). The quick-change fixture is equipped with a dedicated storage rack, and the bottom of the storage rack has casters for manual movement. This milling system uses a single robot to drive an electric milling head to mill the workpieces, and there is one set of milling equipment. The milling equipment includes: 1 electric milling head (Hitec), 2 end mill holders; multiple 3-flute/4-flute end mills; the system provides a specialized end mill grinder for sharpening the worn-out bottom edges of end mills. When changing or when the end mills are worn, the system can automatically compensate for the corresponding height difference through the tool setting instrument; the system is equipped with a demagnetizer, which can demagnetize the electric milling head within a specified time. The fixture mounting base is compatible with various products, and each product can be installed through quick-change positioning. The system’s protective fence is assembled from aluminum profile frame and embedded with 36.5*36.5*2.5 black protective mesh and PC endurance board. The system’s protective fence adopts a rear-opening safety door style. On both sides of the system’s protective fence are installed explosion-proof LED lights providing a light source for the system. On the right inner side of the system’s protective fence are installed a tool holder prevention rack and a tool setting instrument. Detection switches are installed in the places where the tool holders are placed, facilitating the robot’s automatic tool holder switching and quick tool calibration.
