P-40 fighter SW2014 design source files provided.
The P-40 fighter is a new type of fighter aircraft developed by the Curtiss Company. It combines the airframe of the previously designed and produced P-36 fighter with an Allison liquid-cooled engine. This fighter is a relatively advanced all-metal low-wing monoplane. It is also the last in the “Hawk” series developed by the company since the 1920s. The P-40 fighter was the first American fighter to shoot down a Japanese aircraft in the Pacific War and was the third most-produced main fighter.
