Mechanical equipment used in oil fields—pumping units. A pumping unit is a type of machine equipment used for oil extraction, commonly known as a ‘nodding donkey.’ It is the most important lifting equipment in a rod pumping system. Depending on the presence of a beam, pumping units can be divided into beam-pumping units and non-beam pumping units. Beam-pumping units are generally composed of main components such as horsehead, walking beam, support, base, and crossbeam link, conforming to the standard four-bar linkage mechanism parameters. Through a reducer and crank, the motor power is converted into the up-and-down reciprocating motion of the horsehead, thereby driving the downhole oil extraction equipment such as the sucker rod, which facilitates the extraction of oil.
