The “Firefly” fighter was developed by Fairey based on the “Fulmar” fighter. The “Firefly” adopted the new Youngman flaps, with wings that could rotate 90 degrees and then fold towards both sides of the fuselage. These flaps also increased the strength of the wings and enlarged the wing area, making the “Firefly” a robust and easy-to-maneuver fighter. The “Firefly” fighter is a versatile combat aircraft capable of performing various missions such as combat, attack, reconnaissance, night fighting, and anti-submarine warfare.
