There are more and more deep-processed peanut products on the market, which increase the added value of the products after shelling the peanuts. Therefore, there are more and more peanut shelling machines on the market. However, the machines vary in quality, and common issues with peanut shellers include poor stability, inability to adapt to harsh conditions, and low shelling rate. Therefore, a scraper-type peanut sheller was designed. According to the rotational speed and power of the shelling components of the peanut sheller, a belt drive and motor were chosen. Then, based on the scraper radius, parts like the transmission shaft, semi-grate sieve, and casing were designed accordingly. This document first introduces the domestic development status of shellers and the significance of the research. Secondly, it determines the overall design plan of the peanut sheller, introduces the classification and main components of the sheller, and discusses the existing problems. Based on these problems, the design and layout of the main structure were determined. Subsequently, the detailed design of the main structure of the peanut sheller is introduced, including specific design and calculations for the pulley, main shaft, scraper, motor, etc. The structural design of the transmission mechanism and execution mechanism is discussed with text and illustrations. Finally, the overall design process is summarized, and the problems encountered during the design process are analyzed to summarize experiences and lessons learned.
