The small coating machine mainly consists of a coating chamber and a sublimation heater.

The vacuum coating machine primarily refers to a category of coatings that require a high degree of vacuum, including many types such as vacuum ion evaporation, magnetron sputtering, MBE molecular beam epitaxy, PLD laser sputtering deposition, and many others. The main approach is divided into two types: evaporation and sputtering.

The substrate to be coated is called the substrate, and the material to be coated is called the target material. Both the substrate and the target material are in the vacuum chamber.

Evaporative coating generally involves heating the target material so that the surface components are evaporated in the form of atomic clusters or ions. They settle on the substrate surface, forming a thin film through the film-forming process (scattering point – island structure – maze structure – layered growth). For sputtering type coatings, it can be simply understood as using electrons or high-energy lasers to bombard the target material, causing the surface components to be sputtered in the form of atomic clusters or ions, and eventually deposited on the substrate surface, undergoing the film-forming process, and ultimately forming a thin film.
