GNSS-R is a new remote sensing method that uses reflected signals from navigation satellites to perform remote sensing on the sea surface or land surface at a relatively low cost, with low power consumption and relatively high spatiotemporal resolution. From a mechanistic perspective, GNSS-R functions as a bistatic radar, based on a microwave electromagnetic scattering model. Theoretical simulations have been carried out for the scattering characteristics of bare soil and vegetation with right-hand circular polarization (RHCP) transmission and right-hand circular polarization (RHCP), left-hand circular polarization (LHCP), H polarization, and V polarization reception.
