A 3D model of a car’s power steering system is shared, with a rational structural design. Recommended for download and reference!
Power steering systems make steering operations flexible and light, increasing the flexibility in selecting steering gear structures when designing cars. They can absorb impacts on the front wheels caused by the road, among other advantages, which is why they have been widely adopted in car manufacturing worldwide. However, the main drawback of power steering systems with fixed amplification ratios is that if the system is designed to reduce the effort needed to turn the steering wheel when parking or driving at low speeds, then the effort required to turn the steering wheel will seem too low when the car is at high speeds, which is not conducive to directional control at high speeds. Conversely, if the system is designed to increase steering effort at high speeds, turning the steering wheel when the car is stationary or driving at low speeds will be very strenuous.
The application of electronic control technology in automotive power steering systems has brought driving performance to a satisfactory level. Electronic control power steering systems ensure light and flexible steering at low speeds; when steering at medium to high speeds, they ensure optimal power amplification and a stable steering feel, thereby enhancing the operational stability of high-speed driving.
