The rotary cylinder piston engine includes: a fixed housing; a cylinder group, which is mounted in the housing and can rotate around the longitudinal central axis. This cylinder group has multiple cylinders that are parallel to the longitudinal central axis but do not overlap radially. Each cylinder has a cylinder wall, an intake port, an exhaust port, a valve assembly that controls the opening and closing of the intake and exhaust ports, a piston that can move between a high position and a low position within the cylinder, and a connecting rod connected to the inner end of the piston with an outer end;
a torque plate, effectively connected to the outer end of the connecting rod. This torque plate is mounted within the torque plane determined by the outer end of the connecting rod and can rotate, forming an oblique angle with the vertical plane of the longitudinal central axis. Therefore, as the cylinder group rotates, during the first part of one full rotation of the cylinder group, the torque plate sequentially guides the pistons from the high position to the low position, and during the second part of one full rotation of the cylinder group, it sequentially guides each piston from the low position to the high position;
and a synchronization assembly, effectively connecting the cylinder group and the torque plate, so that the cylinder group and the torque plate rotate at the same speed.
