This is an independently suspended chassis design using Mecanum wheels, designed by myself. It uses 1010 aluminum square tubes as the main support structure, and black acrylic plates as connectors for the upper and lower beams. The motors utilized are high-torque DC gear motors. These gear motors connect to 3-inch Mecanum wheels via couplings. This type of Mecanum wheel is a classic product. Unlike the 65mm wheels, these use imported carbon steel bearings, providing very smooth rotation for each small wheel. The motors are fixedly connected to the mounting plate through motor mounts, and the mounting plate is made of carbon fiber material, serving the purpose of shock absorption. The front end of the carbon fiber plate is connected to shock absorbers through hinges. The upper end of the shock absorbers is connected to the acrylic beam plates. Two shock absorbers can adjust damping to balance and control the Mecanum wheels to achieve shock absorption. The independently suspended chassis with Mecanum wheels can serve as a foundation for omnidirectional mobile robots. Besides the 3D model files, the compressed package also contains files in a machining format for DIY manufacturing.
